How does EatEnjoy™ Gluten work?
EatEnjoy™ Gluten contains a proteolytic enzyme blend that supports the digestion of gluten-containing foods, helping to reduce feelings of digestive discomfort.
Gluten is made up of several proteins that some people find difficult to digest. The most important of these are gliadin and glutenin. Undigested protein residues from gluten may contribute to the commonly reported feelings of discomfort.
Proteins are made of smaller units called peptides, which are broken down during digestion into individual amino acids, the building blocks of protein. EatEnjoy™ Gluten contains two types of proteolytic enzymes, endopeptidases and exopeptidases. These break the internal and external peptide bonds in proteins, including the peptides in gluten. The enzymes help the body break protein down into amino acids, which are then easily absorbed, reducing the discomfort that might otherwise be experienced.
The enzymes in EatEnjoy™ Gluten also break down other food proteins, such as those in milk, walnuts, fish and soya beans, supporting easier digestion of the whole meal.
